MATTHEWS, N.C. (Sunday, July 5, 2026) - Crown Legacy FC played Orlando City B to a 1-1 draw on Sunday night at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex, extending its unbeaten streak at home to eight. Legacy notched its fourth shootout victory after Lazar Kaličanin made two saves.
Crown Legacy broke through in the 66th minute thanks to winger Nimfasha Berchiams. The play began with winger Nathan Richmond taking on his defender on the right flank, finding an opening to slip a pass to the middle of the box for Adrian Mendoza to control and spin around for a shot. The midfielder's attempt was swatted away but Berchimas crashed the goal to give the home side the lead.
Just three minutes later, the visitors won a corner and opted to play it short to Parker Amoo-Mensah, who cut the ball back and found Dylan Judelson near the top of the box for a one-time shot through the backline and in to the bottom left corner of goal.
With the match level after 90 minutes, a penalty shootout went underway to determine who would walk away with an extra point. Kaličanin came up big for the home side, setting the tone with a strong save on Orlando's first attempt before making another stop on their fourth penalty. Legacy converted all of its attempts to walk away with its fourth shootout victory of the year.
