KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Sunday, August 30, 2026) - Crown Legacy FC fell to division opponents Orlando City B 3-2 on Sunday night at Osceola Heritage Park. Academy midfielder Adrian Mendoza scored his second goal of the season.
Charlotte FC's Academy product gave CLFC an early lead when striking in just the sixth minute. After collecting a rebounded shot off the post just outside the 18-yard box, Mendoza rounded his defender before launching a right-footed rocket past Orlando's keeper to the far right corner of goal.
The home side equalized just before halftime when midfielder Issah Haruna found himself in Legacy's penalty area, cutting in centrally before slotting in a low shot to the bottom right corner.
Orlando scored less than a minute after coming out of the halftime break. Midfielder Matthew Belgodere forced a turnover at the edge of Crown Legacy's box, taking a touch past his defender before slipping a shot under Jahiem Wickham. Just two minutes later, the home side would again find the back of the net when Gustavo Caraballo received a pass on the right flank, cutting in before chipping Wickham and giving Orlando a 3-1 lead.
Crown Legacy saw the ball bounce their way in the 54th minute thanks to an own goal scored by Orlando's Ignacio Gomez. Nathan Richmond flicked in a cross, attempting to find the head of Magic Smalls, but a deflection from Gomez sent the ball past the reach of his own keeper and into the back of the net.
Crown Legacy FC returns home to take on Chicago Fire FC II on Friday, September 4. Kickoff at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex is set for 5:30 p.m. ET and admission to the match is free.
