HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (Wednesday, August 12, 2026) - Crown Legacy FC played Huntsville City FC to a 2-2 draw at Joe Davis Stadium on Wednesday Night. Keeper Jahiem Wickham notched a save in the penalty shootout to secure an extra point for CLFC. Academy winger Magic Smalls scored his second and third goals of the season with a first half brace, marking his third match out of the last four with a goal contribution.
CLFC got on the board in just the third minute thanks to Smalls. The winger received a pass from Mikah Thomas on the left flank before making a move into the box. The Academy product pulled the ball back from a trailing defender to create space and sent his shot to the back post.
Smalls doubled Crown Legacy's lead in the 13th minute from the exact same spot. Midfielder Daniel Longo lofted a pass over Huntsville's backline from his own defensive half, meeting Smalls who was again waiting on the left wing. He replicated his first goal to give Legacy an early advantage.
Huntsville later equalized with a goal in the 22nd and 68th minute. Nicolas Pariano collected the ball of a clearance from CLFC's penalty area, taking a touch before sending it to the bottom left corner of goal. Huntsville scored their second in the same fashion to the first, this time scored by Moises Veliz.
With the match level after 90 minutes, a penalty shootout was underway to determine who would leave with an extra point. CLFC keeper Jahiem Wickham set the tone early, saving Huntsville's first attempt. The two sides traded successful attempts until Xavier Aguilar skyed his shot, with Academy forward Kaeden Mcdowell stepping up to secure the win for Legacy right after.
Crown Legacy FC returns home from its four-match road trip on Wednesday, August 19, when the Club will host expansion side Connecticut United FC. Kickoff at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex is set for 7:00 p.m. ET and admission to the match is free.
