CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Thursday, April 2, 2026) — Crown Legacy FC today announced the Club has acquired Serbian goalkeeper Lazar Kaličanin on loan through June 30, 2026, from Serbian side FK Čukarički.
“Lazar is a great addition to this year’s squad as we continue to build off our strong start to the season,” said Charlotte FC Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “This is a great opportunity for him to continue his development in a different environment and with a competitive group. We are excited to see the qualities Lazar brings to the Club during his time in Charlotte.”
Kaličanin, 21, joins the Club with 30 appearances with Čukarički’s First Team across all competitions, including 24 appearances in Serbia’s top-flight. The goalkeeper was sent on an 18-month loan to Smederevro 1924, where he made his senior debut at 19-years-old and played in 18 matches. The Trstenik, Serbia native joined Čukarički’s Academy from OFK Beograd and signed his first professional contract with Čukarički in 2018.
On the international stage, Kaličanin has amassed 15 appearances with Serbia’s youth squads, making his debut with U-16s in an international friendly against Turkey in 2019.
