Crown Legacy FC Earns Team of the Matchweek Honors for Week 10

CHARLOTTE, NC (Monday, May 20, 2024) – MLS NEXT Pro today announced that Crown Legacy FC earned Team of the Matchweek honors for Week 10.

CLFC dominated league-leaders Chattanooga FC in a 4-1 win at home to earn the award.

Charlotte FC midfielder Ben Bender led Crown Legacy FC with two first half goals and an assist in his first professional match since September 2023. Forwards Nick Scardina and Dylan Sing also netted goals in the first 45 minutes to take a 4-0 lead before the halftime break.

CLFC let in just one goal in the second half, securing its third win in the last four matches.

This is the Club’s second Team of the Matchweek honor for 2024.

Next up, Crown Legacy FC will take a week off before traveling down I-85 to take on rivals Atlanta United 2 on Friday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. for the first of a two-match road trip. CLFC’s next home match will be on Thursday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m. to take on Philadelphia Union II.
