CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Monday, March 16, 2026) — MLS NEXT Pro today announced that Crown Legacy FC forward Rodolfo Aloko has earned Player of the Matchweek honoros for Week 3 following a one goal and one assist outing against Inter Miami CF II.
The forward has transitioned into the squad seamlessly through three matches, scoring five goals and notching two assists. His seven goal contributions currently lead MLS NEXT Pro.
This past weekend, Aloko helped CLFC jump ahead of Inter Miami CF II in the 25th minute. The play started in Crown Legacy's defensive half with Nimfasha Berchimas forcing a turnover at the corner flag before finding Hugo Mbongue making a run to the midfield. The Canadian faked directions to shake his defender and sent a well-timed through ball on to Aloko, who muscled his way past the backline and calmly finished his opportunity.
Later in the 53rd minute, Aloko set up Berchimas after flicking a short cross over Miami's defense for the winger to hit in a sicssor kick past the keeper.
Crown Legacy FC currently stands atop the Eastern Conference standings with nine points and a +11-goal differential, the best in MLS NEXT Pro. The Club returns to action on Sunday, March 22, when the Club continues its four-match homestand against Atlanta United 2. Kickoff at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex is set for 7:00 p.m. ET and admission to the match is free.
