CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Monday, March 9, 2026) — MLS NEXT Pro today announced that Crown Legacy FC has earned Team of the Matchweek honors for Week 2 following a dominate, record-breaking 7-2 victory over Huntsville City FC on March 6.
Newcomer Rodolfo Aloko led the charge with his second brace in as many weeks to go along with an assist. The Beninese forward has cruised since joining Legacy, having already bagged four goals and tallied one assist across just 162 minutes of action.
CLFC had a total of six different goalscorers in the match, with forward Nathan Richmond (Two assists) and First Team defender Will Cleary each scoring their first professional goals. Also on the scoresheet was Homegrown forward Nimfasha Berchimas, defender Assane Ouedraogo and winter window signing Hugo Mbongue, who made his debut for the Club on Friday.
The Club also saw the 9th youngest MLS NEXT Pro debutant when Academy forward Daniel Brown checked in at the 79-minute mark. He was 14 years, nine months and 29 days old at the time of his debut.
Crown Legacy FC currently stands atop the Eastern Conference standings with six points and a +8-goal differential, the best in MLS NEXT Pro. The Club returns to action on Sunday, March 15, when the Club continues its four-match homestand against Inter Miami CF II. Kickoff at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex is set for 7:00 p.m. ET and admission is free.
