CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Wednesday, February 25, 2026) — Crown Legacy FC today announced the signing of goalkeeper Jahiem Wickham to an MLS NEXT Pro contract through December 31, 2027, with Club options through June 30, 2029. Wickham was selected out of the University of South Florida with the No. 82 overall selection in the 2026 MLS SuperDraft.
“We are excited to welcome Jahiem to the Carolinas with Crown Legacy FC,” said Assistant General Manager Bobby Belair. “His goalkeeping talent and leadership skills were evident during his collegiate career and we were very happy to select him in this year’s SuperDraft. We look forward to seeing Jahiem integrate with the Club this preseason and further develop in our Player Pathway.”
Wickham, 22, spent one season at USF, where he appeared in 17 matches (9W-3L-5D record) and posted three clean sheets and 61 saves, which led the American Conference. He earned two Goalkeeper of the Week nods during the season and was recognized as the American Conference Co-Goalkeeper of the Year following a standout 2025 campaign.
Prior to his stint in Tampa, Wickham was a member of the Syracuse Orange for three seasons. He served as the reserve keeper in his freshman season during Syracuse’s collegiate treble run in 2022 (NCAA National Champion, ACC Tournament Champion and ACC Regular Season title). The keeper had a breakout campaign in 2023, appearing in 14 matches and posting a 6W-3L-5D record to go along with five clean sheets and 23 total saves. Wickham did not appear for the Orange in 2024 but gained semi-professional experience with Vermont Green FC of USL League Two, where he holds the club record for most clean sheets in a season (five).
The Brampton, Ontario native began his soccer career as a member of the Toronto FC Academy and gained international experience with the Trinidad & Tobago Youth National Team, getting called up to training camps with the U-15 squad and 2022 Concacaf U-20 Championship, where he made two appearances.
