MATTHEWS, N.C. (Saturday, July 19, 2025) - Crown Legacy FC fell 3-0 to Philadelphia Union II on Saturday night at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex.
Union II jumped ahead in the second minute after claiming the ball off a physical tackle in the midfield before Isaiah LeFlore slipped a through ball to Eddy Davis, who finished with his right foot on a one-on-one opportunity.
In first half stoppage time, Giovanny Sequera whipped in a cross to CLFC's penalty area, which met the head of Assane Ouedraogo and took an unfortunate direction, leading it into the back of his own net.
In the 65th minute, Nick Pariano carried the ball to the edge of the 18-yard box and with no one closing down the midfielder snuck a shot through CLFC's backline and just past the reach of Isaac Walker.
Just before stoppage time, Malik Jakupovic ran across the top of the penalty area, getting off a shot with his left foot that richocheted off the woodwork and into the back of the net.
Crown Legacy FC (4-6-8, 23 points) returns to play next Saturday when CLFC travels to take on Chattanooga FC at Finley Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET and can be streamed on MLS Season Pass.
