CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Saturday, July 26, 2025) - Crown Legacy FC took down Chattanooga FC 3-1 at Finley Stadium on Saturday night. Emmanuel Uchegbu scored the match winner in the 29th minute and assisted Dylan Sing in first half stoppage time, it was Uchegbu's second match with a goal and assist this season. Serbian midfielder Andrej Subotić also scored in the final seconds of the match.
After receiving a pass at the edge of the box from Yves Tcheuyap in the 29th minute, Uchegbu took his defender on one-on-one, cutting across his left and curling a shot into the upper left corner of goal.
CLFC doubled the lead heading into halftime. Uchegbu initiated the play by closing down a passing lane, intercepting the ball and sprinting past the Chattanooga backline. After rounding every defender and the goalkeeper, the Nigerian winger laid off the ball for Sing who sent the ball into the open net.
Chattanooga pulled one back in the 79th minute thanks to Tate Robertson, who ripped a shot from outside the penalty area that traveled low through the defense and dipped into the bottom left corner.
In the waning moments of the contest, Subotić approached the edge of the box before dribbling past two defenders and faking a shot to shake off a third, opening up space to slip a right-footed shot past Chattanooga's keeper.
Crown Legacy FC (5-6-8, 26 points) returns to play next Saturday when CLFC hosts Huntsville City FC at Mecklenburg County Sportsplex. Kickoff is slated for 5:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed on MLSNEXTPro.com.
