The annual Generation adidas Cup is the most prestigious youth tournament in the United States that includes domestic academies in addition to foreign ones. It's an opportunity for young talents to compete against some of the best youth players in the world and make a name for themselves.
Charlotte FC's own Academy product, 15-year-old Nimfasha Berchimas, was featured on MLS Soccer's 2023 Generation adidas Cup Rising XI that highlights rising stars to keep an eye on throughout the tournament. The tournament will consist of Under-17 and Under-15 teams and will be held at IMG Academy in Florida from April 1-9 in front of coaches, scouts, fans, and more.

"Last November, Berchimas became the second player to sign a homegrown deal from the Charlotte FC Academy. A dynamic and explosive winger, Berchimas has played up most of the year with the Charlotte FC Under-17 team, despite being U-15 eligible. He’s already made his debut with Crown Legacy FC in MLS NEXT Pro and is one of the must-watch MLS players at GA Cup."
Berchimas just recently started for Charlotte FC's MLS Next Pro team, Crown Legacy FC, in their inaugural home match this past weekend. Select GA Cup games including championship matches in both divisions, will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
