After a successful weekend at Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte FC head up to The Great White North to face Toronto FC for some midweek action.
It’s the second meeting of the season between these two sides, with Charlotte getting the better of Toronto in the reverse fixture. Since the return from the World Cup break, Charlotte has earned four wins in seven games. Wednesday marks another strong opportunity to continue building momentum during the back half of the MLS season.

To The Max
Despite only featuring in about 75 minutes of match action thus far, newcomer Allan Saint-Maximin has already made an impact. In his debut for the Club. Maxi earned a penalty and flashed his signature quality on the ball. And then in his MLS debut against Columbus, he initiated a goal sequence by expertly delivering a pass to teammate Pep Biel. It will be exciting to follow Maxi as he features more and gets more comfortable in the squad as he returns to full match-level fitness.
Keep The Streak Alive
You’d have to go back to March of the 2024 season to find the last time Charlotte FC lost to Toronto. Since that defeat, it’s been four straight wins for The Crown. The last time Charlotte traveled to BMO Field, it was Pep Biel and Patrick Agyemang who delivered goals in a 0-2 win. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Charlotte grabbed a convincing 3-1 victory with goals scored by Biel, David Schnegg and Wilfried Zaha.
Scouting the Opposition
Toronto is coming off a 2-1 victory over New England. It marked their first win since early April. Midfielder Djordje Mihailovic will miss Wednesday’s match after receiving a red card on the weekend. Hungarian forward Dániel Sallói currently paces Toronto in both goals (4) and assists (6). Robin Fraser is the man in charge for the Canadian outfit and has been at the helm up north since 2025.
