CHARLOTTE, NC (Wednesday, December 15, 2021) – Charlotte FC, along with Major League Soccer, today announced the complete 2022 league schedule, which is highlighted by eight Charlotte FC matches on national television. The remaining 26 matches will be .
CLTFC will travel to D.C. United on the first weekend of the season, as previously announced. The match will kick off at 6:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 26 and be carried live on WSOC and Telemundo Charlotte. This will be the debut of commentary duos Eric Krakauer and Lloyd Sam on the English side, with Jaime Moreno and Antonio Ramos calling the match in Spanish.Â
The Club’s previously announced inaugural match at Bank of America Stadium on March 5 against the LA Galaxy will be shown live on FOX at 7:30 p.m. ET. The match is expected to eclipse 74,000 tickets distributed which would make it the largest in league history.
TICKETS for 2022 Inaugural Season:
Fans will not have to wait long for the Club’s two matchups against Atlanta United as Charlotte FC will travel to Atlanta on March 13 at 4:30 p.m. ET (FS1) and host Atlanta on April 9 at 3:00 p.m. ET (ESPN).
Charlotte FC will have six home matches on national broadcasts, including the games against the Galaxy (FOX) and Atlanta (ESPN). The other national broadcasts from Bank of America Stadium are March 26 vs. FC Cincinnati (UniMás), May 7 vs. Miami (UniMás), June 11 vs. New York Red Bulls (ABC), and July 9 vs. Nashville SC (FS1).
Additionally, the Club’s May 29 away match at Seattle Sounders FC will be on FS1.
CLTFC will host the defending MLS Cup Champions, New York City FC, at Bank of America Stadium on September 10.
The 34-game regular season schedule will wrap up on Decision Day on October 9 with Charlotte FC traveling to play the New York Red Bulls.
