Charlotte, N.C. (Saturday, September 26, 2026) – Charlotte FC announced today the Club has signed forward Nathan Richmond on a short-term agreement from the Club’s MLS NEXT Pro team Crown Legacy FC. Richmond will be available for tonight’s match against Chicago Fire FC at Bank of America Stadium.
Charlotte, N.C. (Saturday, September 26, 2026) – Charlotte FC announced today the Club has signed forward Nathan Richmond on a short-term agreement from the Club’s MLS NEXT Pro team Crown Legacy FC. Richmond will be available for tonight’s match against Chicago Fire FC at Bank of America Stadium.
Richmond earned his first two call-ups during the Crown’s Leagues Cup tournament group stage and his most recent call-up was at FC Cincinnati on September 12. The Atlanta, Georgia, native made his debut in Charlotte FC’s 3-0 victory over Pumas UNAM on August 4. The winger has tallied eight goals and 10 assists through 24 matches with CLFC, ranking him third in assists across MLS NEXT Pro, as CLFC earned the top seed in the Eastern Conference.
Per MLS rules, the short-term agreements allow clubs to sign players on loan from their MLS NEXT Pro affiliate for MLS, U.S. Open Cup, Concacaf Champions League, Leagues Cup, Canadian Championship, and exhibition matches.
