Charlotte, NC (Thursday, October 19, 2023) – Charlotte Football Club today announced Tom Morris has joined the Club as the Head of Regional Scouting.

Morris will lead the organization’s scouting efforts for under-22 players, with a focus on discovering and identifying the best young talent to add the Pro-Player Pathway for Charlotte FC, Crown Legacy FC and Charlotte FC Academy.

“Tom joins the Club with a proven record of success and over a decade of experience,” said Director of Scouting Thomas Schaling. “His background in both coaching and scouting will be instrumental in identifying top prospects and bringing them into our environment at an early age. Tom’s role will be crucial in completing the Pro-Player Pathway, and we are excited for his contribution in the Club’s future success.”

“I am thrilled to join Charlotte FC at such a salient moment in the club’s history,” said Morris. “With our state-of-the art training facility recently opening, combined with our devoted coaching and support staff, we can offer an unrivaled development opportunity to all our players. I am excited to work within our community to identify these players and help them take the first step on the long path to becoming a pro.”

Morris is currently finishing his UEFA B coaching license and currently holds a UEFA C license and United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Diploma.
