Jamath Shoffner Joins Charlotte FC as Interim Assistant Coach

Former USYNT assistant joins Club under Interim Head Coach Christian Lattanzio

CHARLOTTE, NC (Friday, June 10, 2022) – Charlotte FC today announced Jamath Shoffner has joined the Club as an Interim Assistant Coach for the remainder of the 2022 season. 

A UEFA licensed coach, Shoffner began his coaching career in the college ranks before joining the Luxembourg Youth national team. He progressed in Luxembourg up through the senior national team where he was part of a World Cup Qualifying Cycle in which the team achieved the country’s highest FIFA Ranking to date at the time.  

Shoffner then returned to the United States where he joined the staff of the U.S.’ youth national teams and helped the U-20s reach the Quarterfinals of the 2019 World Cup. 

A Greensboro native and Charlotte 49ers alum, Shoffner joins interim Head Coach Christian Lattanzio and interim Assistant Coach Andy Quy on the first team coaching staff. Academy Goalkeeper Coach Brian Edwards has also joined as interim goalkeeping coach.
