CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Friday, May 15, 2026) – Charlotte FC today announced that the Club has sent defender Jack Neeley on a loan to USL League One side Charlotte Independence through the end of June 2026.
“As Jack continues to progress as a professional, we want to see him get as many competitive matches as possible. For these next two months, the aim is for him to compete and gain valuable minutes in a different environment before rejoining the group after the World Cup break,” said General Manager Zoran Krneta. “Everyone at the Club wishes Jack well with Charlotte Independence and we look forward to following his progress.”
Neeley, 20, signed as the Club’s third Homegrown player on March 24, 2023. Neeley inked his deal following CLTFC’s preseason where he made his unofficial debut against LA Galaxy. He has amassed 74 matches played for Crown Legacy with four goals, one assist and over 6,000 minutes played.
The defender’s first professional season saw him feature prominently with the Crown Legacy FC for its inaugural season. He made 25 appearances in 2023 and logged 1,983 total minutes in his first professional season. He made his debut in the Club’s season opener against Huntsville City FC on March 26.
