Karol Świderski scores for Poland to beat Wales in Nations League

Swiderski Scores For Poland

Fresh off a brace for Charlotte FC, Karol Świderski’s hot streak with the Polish National Team continued this past weekend as he scored the game-winner against Wales to keep his national team in League A of Nations League.

Świderski made no mistake in slotting away the goal that was assisted by Barcelona striker, Robert Lewandowski, with a beautiful no-look pass in the 57th minute. It was an important win for Poland as it was their last match to prepare for the looming World Cup.

After his sixth goal in nine games for Poland, Charlotte’s DP is further cementing his spot on the plane to Qatar and making a compelling case to start alongside Lewandowski. The Poles will face Argentina, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia in Group C of the 2022 World Cup with their opener on November 22nd against El Tri.

In the meantime, Świderski returns to Charlotte to finish the remainder of the 2022 MLS season as the team looks to finish strong and give themselves a chance for playoffs. Up next for the Crown will be hosting current Eastern Conference leaders Philadelphia Union on October 1st at 5:30 pm ET.
