Archie Goodwin

Charlotte FC signed Australian forward Archie Goodwin on Aug. 13, 2025, from A-League side Adelaide United FC.

Goodwin joined The Crown off his best season of his young career, scoring 13 goals in 16 matches for Adelaide in Australia's topflight, bagging three braces on his way to a joint Golden Boot season to push Adelaide to a sixth-place finish. The forward began his career with the Newcastle United Jets organization, making his professional debut at 16-years-old in a 1-0 win over Melbourne Victory on February 21, 2021. In four seasons with the club, Goodwin tallied eight goals and two assists in 46 matches.

On the international level, Goodwin featured for Australia’s U-20 side six times and tallied a two-goal contribution match in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Group Stage.
