It was a successful night of Leagues Cup action at Bank of America Stadium for Charlotte FC, with the Crown orchestrating a comprehensive 3-0 win over Liga MX side Pumas on Tuesday night.
“The Mayor” Brandt Bronico scored the game’s first goal in the 27th minute, capitalizing on an opportune ricochet.
Archie Goodwin earned a second goal for The Crown in the 50th minute. It was a beautiful header that came as a result of a lovely delivery from teammate David Schnegg.
Later on, Tyger Smalls added an exclamation point and a third goal for the hosts. Smalls calmly converted from the penalty spot after drawing a foul.
The Leagues Cup fixtures continue for Charlotte FC Friday night at Bank of America Stadium (7:30pm EST KO) against Atlas F.C.
