Program Overview

In dynamic partnership with our founding partner, Ally, Charlotte FC is proud to announce the expansion of the Greater Goals initiative beginning with the 2023 Fall semester. The Fall season will run for 11 weeks, beginning September 18th and ending the week of December 4th.

Building upon our shared commitment to empowering communities, Ally has taken the lead in driving enhancement and funding for this program, reflecting their deep dedication to fostering positive change through sport.

Growth of the Program

Since its inception, Greater Goals has grown to encompass 30 schools, across both Charlotte and Winston-Salem. Together, we are now reaching more than 800 young players, forging a path towards empowerment, skill-building, and social development. 

This evolution represents an exciting step forward for the program. It will bolster the Ally Greater Goals mission, amplifying its impact throughout the year.

Objectives & Milestones

At its core, Ally Greater Goals continues to provide invaluable after-school soccer and* literacy programming *for Title 1 elementary school students. Skillful coaches and mentors engage participants with hour-long sessions twice a week, instilling soccer proficiency and vital social values like teamwork, respect, inclusion, and hard work. 

In partnership with Ally, some of the major milestones of the Ally Greater Goals program so far have been:

• $10,000 raised for the program through Ally’s donation match of the sale of the Club’s merchandise collaboration with 704 Shop.
• 400 children’s books donated to the program from an Ally employee book drive.

Building the Future

Greater Goals has been and continues to be an integral part of Charlotte FC's comprehensive community outreach, underscoring our commitment to encouraging growth through sports. As we expand our horizons and extend our influence, Ally Greater Goals joins the ranks of our core programs focused on youth - Pitches for Progress and Captain's Academy. Together, these endeavors weave a tapestry of transformation, reflecting our dedication to nurturing upward mobility and positive change.
